ROC BAND AUDITIONS

AUDITIONS FOR THE 2025 ROC BANDS ARE NOW OPEN!

If you are interested in auditioning, please record an audition as a MP3 or WAV file. The audition must have the following:

  • Woodwind (alto, tenor and bari saxes), Brass (horn, trumpet, trombone, baritone, and tuba) and Electric Bass
    • Concert Bb and Ab scales (the full range of your instrument)
    • Chromatic scale (the full range of your instrument)
    • A 30-second solo that demonstrates your playing ability, musicality, and range.  The solo piece is your choice.
  • Drumset
    • 30-second samples of:
      • 1. Latin rhythm of your choice.
      • 2. Disco
      • 3. Rock

Send the recording of your audition with the subject line "First name Last name - Instrument" to band-office@byu.edu by Tuesday, October 8th, 2024 (Example: Cosmo Cougar - Trumpet).
