SYMPHONIC BAND

Consisting of approximately 75 performers, the Symphonic Band is devoted to the performance of the finest band masterpieces from a variety of historic periods, new music for the wind idiom, and compositions from our faculty and student composers. The Symphonic Band fosters the highest performance standards while offering its members an opportunity to expand their artistic, technical, and performance horizons. The ensemble performs two concerts each semester.

Although the majority of the ensemble members are music majors, the Symphonic Bands also offers the talented non-major unequaled opportunities for continued music performance and growth. Membership in the BYU Symphonic Band is determined by audition in the fall of each academic year.
